Galaxy S24Samsung does not send ads to your phone. If you are receiving random ads from a rogue app, download Good Lock's Nice Catch module and turn on "detect toasts" and "detect commercials". After you receive a popup, open Nice Catch and see which app the ad came from and uninstall the ad.
To start your phone in safe mode, long press on the shut down icon and the safe mode option will appear. Tap that and the phone will start in safe mode. However, doing this will likely mess up some settings and your home screen order, as it loads only with the native apps that came with the operating system and when you reboot normally, things are not always the same. You can preserve your home screen setup by making sure you have the Home Up module and turning on backup and restore, which will backup your home screen layout. Just make sure you make a backup of the home screen prior to going into safe mode. On the other hand, if you utilize Nice Catch and find the culprit, you don't need to go into safe mode at all, since going into safe mode won't help you determine *which* app is causing the issue, only that it's not a native app.

Galaxy S24Also, go to your settings and turn on app protection and/or download an antimalware program such as AVG, Malwarebytes, Bitdefender...anything but McAfee.
