The gallery doesn't show my recent pictures under the Camera Album anymore. I have to select "Recent" whereas before they would all be there. Its not a sorting issue. I checked. I also cleared the cache. Goes from 5 most recent pics to 2024.
Did you remove it from albums to show? Tap the dot menu and tap select essential albums, and make sure recent is selected. It will then show in your main view. Even if you dont select it as essential, you will still be able to view it by choosing the all albums tab.

The recent "album" has always existed. Whether your most recent photos show first in your camera album depends on your sort order. There never were sub albums (albums within albums), at least no phone I ever had, had that capability.

Thats the thing. The sort order is descending. All my recent pics disappeared from the "camera" location. You take pics, open albums, choose camera, and all photos show up in the order they were taken. Ot jumps from last 4 pics to 2024.
Well, all I can say is keep the recent album visible if you frequently need to see your recent images. It's not a duplicate of your photos, it's just a virtual album that shows your recents. It just compiles your most recently taken or edited photos into a single viewing point regardless of which album you mived them to.
