There needs to be a start time for digital well-being. Midnight isn't practical.. We should be able to set it. For example 6 am starts new day

Absolutely agree — and many users have brought this up: Digital Wellbeing on Samsung (and even on Pixel and other Android devices) still uses midnight as the default “start of day”, which doesn’t work for people with non-traditional schedules like night shifts, late bedtimes, or early risers.

The Problem:

Your screen time resets at 12:00 a.m., no matter what

If you stay up past midnight, it skews your usage stats

Wind Down, Focus Mode, and App timers aren’t always flexible enough to reflect how your day actually flows

Why 6 AM Makes Sense:

For many people, 6:00 a.m. is a more realistic boundary between yesterday and today

Helps keep sleep, usage, and app limits aligned with real-world routines

---

What You Can Do Right Now:

Unfortunately, Digital Wellbeing doesn’t let you customize the “start of day”, but you can request it directly:

1. Submit feedback to Samsung:

Open the Samsung Members app

Go to Get Help > Feedback > Suggestion

Write something like:

> "Please allow users to set a custom start-of-day time in Digital Wellbeing. Midnight doesn’t reflect modern sleep schedules. I’d like to start my Digital Wellbeing day at 6 a.m. instead."

2. Submit feedback to Google (if using Google's Digital Wellbeing):

Go to Settings > Digital Wellbeing & Parental Controls

Scroll down and tap Send Feedback

---

Workaround (Not Perfect, But Helps)

Set Focus Mode or App Timers from 6 a.m. manually:

Go to Digital Wellbeing > Focus mode

Create a custom mode for your “active hours” (e.g., 6 a.m. to midnight)

Same for App Timers: reset them at 6 a.m. manually or with Bixby Routines (limited but works)

---

Final Thought

You're 100% right — this is a small change with a big impact. The ability to set your own Digital Wellbeing “day start time” would make the feature more meaningful and accurate. Until then, user pressure is the best way to get it added. You've got the right idea — now Samsung needs to listen.

I support your proposal.

@ Samsung, please make this customizable.
