No, I am not paranoid at all. I have recently been a victim of hacking and identity theft and know firsthand how easily it can be done after thoroughly researching all the ways someone can gain access to your phone when i was left feeling vulnerable & helpless not knowing where to turn or how to get help after exhausting any and every resource that my carrier, Samsung, or Google has to offer.
And yes, the privacy thing was exactly my point with the last thing I had said.

Other than be able to track your phone while it's still on, what would be the point of if someone having to enter a password to power down the phone? As I said, sooner or later the battery will die. A computer does not need a password to power down, why should a phone? 95% of so-called hacking is not hacking of the phone itself, but compromised accounts, use of a public network, or an open port on a home router.

Because if they are able to power down a phone, change system settings for tracking location turn off cellular data, transfer your data ect.. like immediately... well that way I feel like you could have a smidgen of added security and it's possible it could prevent your account and phone to becoming unrecoverable or at least delay it at the very least.

You need your password to change sensitive syem settings and your Google password to turn off tracking.

Oh, and if someone looked over your shoulder to obtain your password, they would have your password to power down the phone. And, if you were unconscious or asleep, they could still obtain your biometric.

I understand that, and I understand the reality of it. Is there's no precautions that you can take that's going to prevent somebody from being able to access your phone, but there are ways to make it less likely that it will happen.

Seriously, your phone is as secure as YOU make it. The scenarios you are describing are ridiculous. If someone had access to your unlocked phone, they could change the settings before powering down, including changing your password and deleting your biometrics. What you are proposing is preposterous, and I'm quite sure normal users would really hate being asked for their biometrics every time they wanted to turn off or reboot their phone. It would make auto optimization and auto update impossible.
