Galaxy S24Sometimes, a factory reset is the best option, unless you want to spend days, weeks, or months fiddling around trying to find the solution. Even with putting in an error report with logs included, if the developers find no clear reason for the events that are occurring (or not occurring when they should be), that would likely be the recommendation. As stated above, the reset gives you a whole new operating system and UI that was not installed over an older version, so anything that was interfering with operations would be cleared.

Galaxy S24Also, to be clear, a factory reset is NOT even GUARANTEED to resolve the issue, making the proposed solution high risk for a result that isn't even guaranteed.

Galaxy S24Lack of accountability for for a defect *forced* on you? No programmer can account for *every* possible permutation of *every* user's phone configuration. Anything can go wrong with *any* update. If a user does not perform proper phone maintenance and housecleaning chores, it's not Samsung's fault. If a user does not do the basic recommendations after an update, again, not Samsung's fault. If you do not put in an error report and include your logs, they cannot and will not fix what they don't know about. Creating complaints on any user forum: here, reddit, X, FB, etc. will not get the attention of those that can fix it. There are also many things a user can do to fix or work around these issues themselves. Not everything that goes wrong is a programming issue.
As for losing your data in a reset, mechanisms exist for you to make a complete backup of your personal data (which you should be doing on a regular basis anyway if it's important to you), and the automatic backup that takes place nightly will restore your apps, settings, layout and programs. Even if a factory reset is not guaranteed, it's the last step in troubleshooting. If the reset does not work, then there is an actual problem that needs to be resolved by the programmers. This is true whether you have an Android or an Apple phone; a Samsung, Motorola, Pixel or any other brand of phone.
Samsung is not responsible for "guarding" *your* personal data - that's *your* job. What happens to all that personal data if your phone just stops working, or gets run over by a truck, or you leave it on the hood of your car and drive away, or someone steals it?

Galaxy S24Well if you have routines that are employing dnd into them and they are running at the same time, that would certainly interfere with the "regular" do not disturb. The phone will certainly get confused if they are overlapping. If you just wanted to employ do not disturb, and you have a routine running that would include it, you would have to stop the routine at the time you want dnd. If you are already running a routine that includes it, there would be no need to run another instance of dnd, unless you are running it at a time when your routine is not scheduled to run. Only one mode can be active at a time, but multiple routines can run at the same time if they do not conflict with one another. I don't know if when a conflict occurs one overrides the other, or the device just gets confused and doesn't behave as expected. I make sure my routines do not conflict.

Galaxy S24Create three separate scheduled routines. Routines allow more options/parameters than modes. You can run multiple routines at once (as long as they don't conflict with each other), as opposed to only one mode at a time. So, you can have a routine for Saturdays, Sundays and Wednesdays and a routine for Monday and Tuesday and a routine for Thursday and Friday - or whatever your schedule is.
