I have my late wife's picture as my wall paper, and also another on of hers for the lock screen.  I wish to "reset" it back to factory. I did the SMART SWITCH backup to my WINDOWS 11 computer. But i still want to find those pictures, and save them to the cloud. Also, if I restore with SMART SWITCH, will the pictures be put back on the phone?

I don't know about Smart Switch, but what is most important is finding the pics you want to keep. Look for the My Files app, and select image. All the pictures should be there. You can save the pictures from there, or email it to yourself.

The photos should be backed up in the Google Photos App.

That might work.

If you have the phone connected to your computer, use Windows Explorer to view the contents of your phone. Pics that you've taken will be in the DCIM folder. If you've created other folders and moved things around, you'll also be able to see those. You can copy everything to your computer's hard drive or an attached external drive.
