(S24) "Photo and Video" app keeps crashing, unable to link pictures in Chrome or Gmail

This may be a new issue

When trying to insert Photos in Gmail or Chrome or other apps, I am told that "Photo and Video app" keeps crashing

The problem is that the app cannot be found in the phone, it does not appear to be the camera app, or either Google Pictures nor Samsung Gallery

I tried to link a picture to this issue but again, got the error message

I found a solution go into all system apps and disable photos and videos app I had the same issue it's a malware app that's somehow on all samsung devices once I disabled it I stopped getting that message.

how were you able to do that? I dont see an option to disable it anywhere, everything is greyed out.

There are no options to disable this app or clear cache.

So, the solution has been found.

Try selecting a photo multiple times through the crashing app, for example, ChatGPT. It worked for me on the 9th or 10th attempt. This is a very strange issue, but once it worked in one app, it started working in all the others as well.

I'm having the same problem, couldn't find photos and videos app anywhere on my phone so I can't disable it.
