Galaxy S24I purchased the s24 Ultra last week and when I went home I left the phone alone for a couple of hours and when I went back to open it, it was locked. I never put a screen lock on it. I brought it back to the store and the salesman yelled at me saying I put it on. If you know me, you know that I don't know how to do much with technology.
I can't sign in to Verizon because I need to get into my email and I can't get into my email because it locked too because I was using a new device.
I have a brand new phone that I can't get in and no way to get ahold of Verizon. If I set it back to factory I lose years of photos. I don't know what to do.

Galaxy S24According to another user here, in case you did not see it, the default password is "Intersection". You can try this before doing a reset, but I am certain you will have to do a reset. No phone in the history of phones has ever come with a pre-set password. It would make no sense, especially if the password is not provided in the startup guide. How is anyone supposed to guess what a default password may be? One is usually asked during setup if one wants to set a security password. Phones have been known to have the lock screen activate even with no security pin/password and all one has to do is swipe up to open the phone. If the phone is requiring a password rather than swiping up, someone in your home may have set a password. If you live alone, I do not have an explanation.
It sounds like when you purchased the phone, your carrier transferred all your stuff over from your old phone. As I stated previously, if you did not trade your old phone in and still have it, you can use it to transfer everything over again after a reset and your personal data will not be lost. If you no longer have the old device, you will have to hope that Google photos has your backup copies.
