Just got the new update oh my God it looks like a speck of dirt what were they thinking how do you read how much battery life you have left on your phone I had to get a magnifying glass That's ridiculous for the $1,000 that this phone cost. This phone should sing to me not make me have to chase down a magnifying glass to see and read information on it anybody know how to make it larger?

Yeah, I have it set to notify me at 31%, which according to my battery usage gives me several hours of use before I absolutely *must* get to a charger, but is low enough to charge right away (I don't like to charge above 40% unless I know I am not going to be near a charger for a long while, like traveling).  I carry a power bank, as well. Having this routine means I don't have to constantly check my battery level and I can feel secure knowing I'm not going to be caught by surprise.

I am one of those that don't like change but can get used to some of these changes. Granted I had over 4 months on the Beta and have gotten used to it. This update isn't as bad as some updates from others and one in particular to me is Microsoft every time they come out with a new Window OS. Every new one to me is overly complicated and not user friendly to the average or less tech savvy person such as myself. As far as Samsung's approach to this update seems off but to me way better than any Windows update I have had over the last 25 years.

All I can say is give it time and if there is anything that you need help with or a change instead of a rant post a help question and see if someone has a solution.

My phone updated to One UI 7 and now has a battery percentage icon that I can't read. Is there anyway to change it back to the big percentage number with the battery icon on the side, like it use to be, instead of the new bubble with the number in the middle?
For the most part, i've been able to change/adjust back a couple of the new update things that I don't care for or that were taken away. But I can not find a way to switch the battery icon back. It is really frustrating because I can't tell how much battery power I have, unless I hunt around for my reading glasses, which I only sometimes need for reading purposes. I was able to see the percentage fine and clearly before.

Would anyone happen to know how to switch it back?
Thanks for any help!

Regrettably, the Battery Icon cannot be restored to its pre update appearance.

You are welcome. The largest complaint in beta was the size of the battery icon. Believe me, it was smaller in the beta version, and they increased its size. I suggest adding the battery widget to one of your home screens so you can see it constantly.

Wow, this is suppose to be an improvement! Eek
I think it is the shading that makes it even harder to read. I was hoping that Samsung would update with an option to change it back or that maybe Goodlock would come out with an option. I am happy with the update otherwise but no longer being able to see the battery percentage is a really big problem.

That seems like a very unwise decision. I hate the new battery icon with a passion. Who do I contact to get it fixed to how it was before?

the only option left is see your phone battery percentage from battery widget on your homescreen

Thank you, Mogay, for your help! I did add the battery widget and it is still a bit hard to see the number, with my background/color scheme.
Unfortunately it doesn't help for when I'm using my phone. A lot of times I use my phone without my reading glasses. It really stinks I need them just to find out what my battery power is ๐Ÿ˜•
I guess when I'm not around people I can ask Bixby and have her tell me.
