No longer able to text in group chat using Samsung messages?

All my settings are correct!

Out of nowhere I cannot text in my group chats😒 it's telling me to switch to the Google messenger but I don't want to nor do i like the Google messenger. My text box is not even showing up for group text messages. Is there anyways to fix this without switching to Google messenger?

I have been having this issue as well but only with 2 of the 3 group chats I have. It doesn't matter if I start them or not. This is so irritating. There is no intuitive solution.

I also am having issue. I get group chats, answer one, then cannot answer anymore. Won't let me respond

Clearing the messaging app's cache worked immediately for me.

I have the same issue since Oct 2025.  I've contacted Samsung twice and worked with agent on chat.  Neither was able to solve problem.

Anybody having problems with messages? Seems like I can't send text messages to a group chat. I can read everyone's text messages but no one is able to read mine. Help

I can send and receive but when I send it goes out individually not in the group.

Samsung has two default messaging apps depending on your phone. Sounds like you're using the Samsung Messages app and need to change the group settings to send as a group message and not as a broadcast message to individuals.

I no longer use the Samsung Messages app, so I cannot give you detailed information on where that setting is, but it is in the app's settings, not the phone's general settings.
