No and I agree with you. I found a few work arounds. First is to add one handed mode edge panel, which you can make transparent and then do a swipe gesture from your chosen location that will pop-up with your loaded widgets. I've added widgets for all my media players. Second option is an app called dynamic spot which you can customize and sits by your front camera cutout, so it's not noticeable, you just touch it and the running media player will open as a mini player. If nothing is running you can set it to work like Samsung's edge panel with one or a few apps. I use them both and they have really helped. There are one or two other similar apps as well. The only issue with Edge panel option is it works only with widgets and youtube and youtube music do not have media player widgets, only search widgets. You could possibly make a yt widget. This is not an issue with dynamic spot. I haven't tried the other options I've found yet.
