Network changed from LTE to 4G after Android 15 Update

Hello, I need help if there is anybody out there that can help me.

I recently did the update to Android 15.

After doing so it changed my network from LTE to 4G. 

I contacted Samsung and my service provider they were no help which isn't a surprise. My carrier is Cspire 😒. 

I contacted Cspire after the update to tell them what happened.

They had nothing but excuses. 

They said the service in my area is poor. That's why I have 4G. I've had LTE for over 14 years as a Network.

Before the update my service was fine no issue. LTE service worked great. 

Now I have the 4G and it is so SLOW and most of the time I have no service. They claim 4G and LTE is the same. I don't believe that because if it was then the 4G should work. 

I did a factory reset Samsung said it would fix the problem. Didn't work still 4G.

And they said I should be able to change my service within the connection settings use the NETWORK MODE. 

My Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra doesn't have Network Mode. 

My carrier isn't going to help all they want is money. Samsung isn't no help and it was their stupid update that messed my service up. 

I've tried everything fron reset the network settings to factory reset 

Please can someone help me?

I'm very sure it doesn't say 4glte LOL
All i know is that before the update, I had lte service and had no data issues. After the update, I noticed the 4g and not lte
So I did mobile reset
Still didn't change and I noticed my data was slow as well
I just don't know

Have you used up your data allotment for the month? If you used mobile data to download the update and you have a plan with a low premium data allotment you likely used up the last of your data allotment for the update. Your speeds won't return to premium speeds until your next billing cycle. A number of carriers/plans only have a certain amount of premium data before you get deprioritized and that will cause your speeds to drop to literally nothing, it just depends on congestion in your area, this goes for 4G, 4G LTE, 5G. I think this issue lies with your carrier since they already told you 4G and LTE were the same, I don't see this as an update issue.

Contact your carrier and see if they can reset or re-provision your SIM.

Somebody told me I should do that
It still showing 4g and slow as H***
Wasn't until the update

So annoying! I'm sorry you dealt with that. I hope it has been resolved . My "new to me" 21ultra would only connect to 5G and my phone would not me select anything else. 5g is useless here and I need the 4glte to connect. I was able to input this code into the phone dialer: star pound star pound4636pound star pound star (no spaces) and choose phone info. Then scroll to set preferred network type. I put mine on LTE/WCDMA. Might check your original setting first and make note in case you need to switch back. It forced my phone to get on what I wanted. There's also an app called force lte that will access the same menu I believe.

I have the same problem and I am not understanding what my colleague is saying. 4G LTE is not the same. The operator generally connects full data in LTE and when you get a call or you take one, the phone automatically switches to 3G or 4G or 5G to allow you to connect audio during the call and, of course, in a hybrid form of voice and data. Since this update to Android 15, the network is unstable even in coverage areas and never registers in LTE technology.

My data service since updating to Android 15 is still 4G and slow
They were not able to give me a valid answer to why it changed
So I stopped asking for help and been dealing with the 4G service, which is horrible
And no 4G and LTE isn't the same
