EDIT (POSSIBLE FIX): I tested booting to Safe Mode and my buttons worked as expected. AND after rebooting normally they appear to be continuing to work! Try [booting to safe mode](https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS10003495/) and report back. I did appear to lose a number of widgets from my home screen after doing so but I was able to restore them from my Samsung account backup in the Settings menu, so you may want to make sure you have a recent backup before doing so. Good luck and please report back if this fixed it for you!

Just installed the One UI 7 update on my base S24 (Unlocked US) and my navigation buttons are not working correctly.

The navigation buttons show at the bottom but are largely unresponsive. If I repeatedly tap the Home or Recent Apps buttons they might eventually work once, but sometimes it seems like they flat out refuse all together. Holding the Home button also does not launch Circle to Search.

I use buttons instead of gestures, also use Good Lock NavStar and One Hand Operation+ for side gestures. I tried disabling both of those and no change.

I switched to gesture navigation and that seemed to be working fine, but switching back to buttons and same issue.

I've rebooted several times, wiped cache partition, force stopped and cleared cache on the One UI Home app and several other apps.

I currently have One Hand Operation+ turned back on so I at least have that navigation working but I hate the stock gestures so that's pretty much a no go for me.

Anyone else running into this?

Take a look at my latest edit (top of the original post) and see if Safe Mode fixes it for you.

Outstanding!! That did the trick and my IT brain wouldn't click to try that. I hated doing the swipe, im a traditional click button type of person. Thx bro! 👏👍

Glad to hear it worked! I really didn't think Safe Mode would "fix" it but I was curious to see if they worked in Safe Mode and low and behold it was even better than I hoped 😂

Finally found a solution on my unlocked s24 ultra. Simply boot into safe mode, and then exit out. Nav buttons work flawlessly now. It does seem to reset some settings and home screen settings when going back out into normal boot, but so far so good.

Fold6 - Same prob, safe mode boot fixed it!  Had to reinstall my theme, authorize some apps for system permissions, put back one missing widget. Was pretty panicked/**bleep** at first, but calm now 😃

THANK YOU!

EDIT:  I spoke too soon. Buttons are hit/miss. Sometime they stop working for 10 seconds or more.  Samsung released this **bleep** way too soon! Now I'm **bleep** again! 😖

A user on my Reddit thread seems to have tracked the root cause to AutoInput which is commonly used with Tasker. Booting to safe mode disables the Accessibility settings for all apps. If you use AutoInput, that is likely your culprit. If not you could check other apps with Accessibility permissions.

Yes yes so much yes.! How do we uppost this?!! After updating my T-Mobile Fold6 phone to one iu7. I had the same problem as above I actually didn't even try any of the other methods I didn't even try booting it into safe mode I went straight to accessibility settings I found Auto input I turned it off and boom my navigation buttons and custom configurations as well are back to working perfectly!!.

Anyone using Tasker needs to read this post the above post!

Have been struggling with this for a day.  Rebooting in safe mode worked until I booted in normal mode.  Looks like you found the culprit though, I stopped Tasker and force stopped AutoInput.  I will use it for a few hours and see if that fix continues to work.  Now I have the problem that Tasker is pretty much useless now.  Hope Samsung or Tasker can find a fix for this.
