My new phone is giving me problems with texting through google text. Messages are not going through and the option for RCS does not appear on the contacts
You will also know they are rcs contacts if you text them and you see a circle and checkmarks and if they are also Google messages user it will have a lock out besides the checkmarks
You have to enable RCS in the messages settings. As do the people on the other end. When you enable RCS, also enable resend as SMS so that if the message can't go through as RCS, it will still get to the recipient
