I am using an app that does not automatically switch to landscape when I turn my phone (S24+) horizontally. I do have auto rotate engaged and it works for all my other apps. There used to be a setting in the Advanced Features section under Labs but for some reason it's not there anymore. Was it taken away with the latest upgrade?

Is there anyway I can get this app to present in landscape mode when I turn my phone horizontally? I have Good Lock installed on my phone. TYIA

Have you ever tried the little icon comes up in the corner of the screen when you tilt your phone? That forces you to rotate the phone. If you don’t get this icon, long click the rotate icon from the task bar. There you will get an option. Turn it on. Then you will see this tiny icon coming up.

That's the problem. My little icon doesn't show up! My setting are perfect and I get no little icon. This is a screenshot of the app I need to go into landscape mode. Notice no little icon. 1751830866796.jpg1751830974383.jpg

Might be in the apps settings. Turn your apps settings on theme default

Can you guide me how to check this? Also FYI, I am only having this problem with this one app which very recently did an upgrade to their app.

Update**. So I turned OFF the auto rotate and went back to just portrait mode. When I open the app in question my little icon shows on the bottom right enabling me to turn the app into landscape mode. However, when I turn on the auto rotate mode and go to this app there is NO icon in the bottom right letting go to landscape. I'm begining to think it's the app itself and not my phone or settings.

@trebor711 The app developers can lock apps to appear in only one orientation. It sounds like that is the case for this app.

There are even some Samsung apps which force the phone to portrait mode.

Especially when this particular app was just recently upgraded. I already wrote the app developers and told them they probably invertently locked the app in the portrait mode because you were able to view it in landscape prior to the upgrade.

Why do they always have to change things that were working just fine?
