I have a 24 and just installed it from the "Galaxy Store" app today! I was ready to throw this phone away precisely because of google messages so i called customer support. They said it's in there vs. the app store since it's an official Samsung app. ❤
Right now, I believe that the only way to get it back from the Play Store is if you have the latest S25 series. Otherwise, you can try and download it's APK from APKpure.com or APKmirror.com.
Google Messages is more secure, if you care about that sort of thing. But I do miss having the Trash folder, the categories, and the customization of wallpapers for conversation. 😮💨
