I have an S24 branded with Verizon. I have switched to Google Fi but I cannot get the visual voicemail to work. It is supposed to just work in the Google Phone app, but for some reason it is locked down and looks for Verizon and will not allow me to move the voicemail select button to active. I have formatted my phone and have tried everything. I opened multiple tickets with Google Fi with no avail. They just keep closing them. Has anyone experienced this and been able to fix it?

Yes I have. In order to fix this, you will have to call customer service to fix the issue. In my case, my voicemail was not activated. It kept giving me an error when I tried to use the samsung app. The basic voicemail is free, but premium you have to pay for. Hope this helps!

@thehomieomi can you please clarify a few things?

When you say you called customer service, was that Google Fi, or Samsung customer service? I have the same problem, but still unclear which side is blocking access.

You definitely got this working with the GOOGLE phone app? Not the Samsung Phone app, or Samsung Visual voicemail app? I can access VM from "Visual Voicemail", but it's quite a poor quality interface and not nearly as streamlined as Phone by Google integrated tab.

Have you tried opening the phone app, hold the one (1) button down and it will take you to your voicemail

I am looking for visual voicemail. Pressing 1 just dials in.
