I'm not sure if it's an issue other users are having, but I had the 8.0 beta update. I didn't have any issues besides the occasional bug with app closures. After I received the official update, my phone has decided to not charge. When I plug my phone in, it pops up for super fast charging and gives the estimated time. After about a minute, it completely cuts off. It doesn't show it's but temporarily charging until I unplug and plug back in. I've had to rely on wireless charging for the last several days. I've checked the port to make sure there's no obstruction. The charger works to charge everything else including an S24+, earbuds, watch, and other miscellaneous items. I've tried to troubleshoot, run diagnostics, and restart my phone to no avail.

That's odd because my S24 Ultra is running perfectly. You might want to go into Android Recovery and clear the cache - ONLY clear the cache... do NOT clear data or you will delete all user data! Cache only!

Unfortunately, that's one of the first things I did. I actually have a widget to clear it often. I've seen few posts about similar issues with past updates, but nothing that confirmed a fix. I'll have to continue using my wireless charger at home or the one built into my car.

Optimizing within Device Care (which is what your widget does) is not what is being suggested. You need to manually go into Android recovery and clear device cache. Steps follow:

1) Turn off your device.

[Your device may need to be connected to a powered USB device (ex: computer) before proceeding to the next step.]

2) Press and hold the Volume Up button and the Side/Power button until you feel a vibration and the Samsung logo appears. Let go of the buttons.

3) You will now be in Android recovery. Use the Volume buttons to highlight "Wipe cache partition."

4) Press the Side/Power button to execute.

5) Use the Volume buttons to highlight "Yes."

6) Press the Side/Power button to execute.

7) "Reboot system now" will already be highlighted. Press the Side/Power button to execute.

I understood the original comment completely different. I followed up with all of that yesterday and rebooted in safe mode with no luck.

If diagnostics have not revealed an issue, you may want to consider taking the phone to an authorized service center and have them look at it. Try a factory reset before doing that. Back up your data via Smart Switch to a PC or external drive.

So, after using a co-worker's unbranded charger and it kicking into slow charging, my super fast charging now works again. I've been dealing with this issue for the last 4 days for something that seemed so simplistic and no longer running into the problem.

Turn off super fast charging, plug in phone, then turn on super fast charging. 🖖🏻
