Friend using iPhone not receiving my text

I have the Samsung S24 Ultra w/AT&T. One of my Verizon IPhone friends are not able to receive my text message. I am using Samsung messages and not Google Messages. Verizon told her I needed to enable my RCS; however, that's not available on my phone. Does this mean I have to use Google Messages as my default Message.

@Amleverett When your phone sends a text message, it goes to your carrier's (AT&T) SMS server. Assuming you aren't getting any errors in that transaction, that is all that your phone can do.

Somewhere in the backend, the SMS message is pushed to Apple's messaging service for iPhones. I don't know if AT&T's backend would do this or if they would send the SMS message to Verizon (your friend's carrier) and Verizon would make the transfer. It seems that something is not working in this transfer. 

I really recommend that if you want to ensure communication with an iPhone friend that you use a different type of messaging Discord, FB Messenger, Signal, Instagram, etc.

It's only happening with her phone. Not having any problem sending or receiving to any other Verizon users. I can receive from her but she can't receive from me.

@Amleverett Since it is unique to her, something is messed up with her settings. She should have Verizon investigate.
