I bought my phone in late July of last year. I wasn't happy with the way that I set it up. I did a factory reset thinking that it would be easier and faster than trying to adjust things. I am loving it now! Immediately after the reset, it looked different than it did when I first bought it, even though I kept up with all of the updates. Very interesting!
Pretty much what Meself said. A soft reset reboots your device by closing open applications and clearing memory, while leaving personal data, settings, and apps unaffected.
