Don't like the One UI 7 battery life pill

The new pill icon SUCKS. Can barely read the percentage left. Change it back! Or give us the option. 

Just another case to change something for the sake of change, without any thought or polling to see if it is liked. I bet no one thinks it's better than precious bar with percentage next to it. 

Need to have it in stupid pill form for some reason cause it's "cool"? Fine. But don't put the number inside of it that is barely visible in the greyed out area.

Yeah it's terrible.  You can turn the number off but not the status bar. 

Nothing like waking up and your android looks like an iPhone

Yes I hate the new pill look as well. I don't know why they insist on making all these dumb changes and move everything around for things that were working just fine before.  I guess someone at Samsung just has to make an excuse for their job title so they create meaningless changes and call it an update, then say " oh ! Look what I did today!".

Right there with you bring the battery shape back! Why is it every time a company updates there operating system they make it look like a 5 year old designed it.

Because programmers are not artists, nor do any I have ever met have any kind of art aesthetic (and I know a lot of coders).

@realaud Based on my experience as a developer in the mobile phone space, I would bet heavily that the developers have nothing to do with the icons or UI appearance. They implement what the UI designers (who usually have artistic abilities) provide to them.

Well, those "designers" need to go back to art class.  The pill shape may be esthetically pleasing (most orbs are), but it is completely out of place and out of sync with the rest of the design. Not to even mention, people don't know what it is. Some things should just be left alone.  It's like suddenly changing the shape and color of a stop sign.

I really hate the rounded look of everything, please for the love of Android let me make everything neat and squared again, are we trying to be apple ugly? and on top of that Issue, why take away the 5x5 screen layout? was this absolutely necessary, I had it everything nice and neat and now I have ugly open spaces on the top, or bottom of my screen.. thanks. Why can't I just have an a alphabetized app drawer where I can swipe instead of scroll.. like I had in UI6? The whole reason people use android is for the modularity and customization.
