DeX Windows app support ONE UI 7

Dear Samsung Community,

 I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to express my concern regarding the recent update to One UI 7, which appears to have discontinued support for Samsung DeX. As a dedicated Samsung user, I have found DeX to be an invaluable feature for a variety of tasks, including presentations, gaming, and simply enhancing my overall experience with my Samsung device.

 The ability to seamlessly transition from a mobile interface to a desktop-like experience has been a game-changer for many of us who rely on our devices for productivity and entertainment. Discontinuing support for DeX in One UI 7 feels like a step backward for those of us who have come to depend on this functionality.

 I kindly urge the developers to reconsider this decision and to explore ways to maintain and even enhance the DeX experience in future updates. Samsung DeX has been a powerful tool that has enriched the lives of many users, and its continued support would be greatly appreciated.

This is very sad news regarding dex for windows not being supported  from UI 7 onwards. I use dex for windows daily and it was a significant reason I stuck with samsung for my recent smartphone upgrade. I am glad I checked the relase note when UI 7 became available, but wish I had known before I upgraded to the new phone.

I too ask that the developers reconsider the decision to end support for dex for windows as this is a great advantage to samsung ownership.

For now I will put off the 'upgrade' to UI 7 until I find another option to replace dex for windows as the suggested alternative, windows link, is no use to me as a replacement.

At current there is not distinctive advantage for Samsun galaxy vs Iphone 16 and above (only Dex , S-pen in ultra were differentiators ). Given dex weakened further by no support for PC, I am seriously thinking of upgrading to Iphone 17 in September. At least I will be happy with the longer updates now.

Also to add, I am a samsung user over 12 years now. Though most around me shifted to iphone I stayed with Samsung.  I think now it is time to go.

I need DEX, but i have already upgraded my phone to UI7. How do i roll back to UI6??

I was about to upgrade to an s25u until I rolled up to one ui 7. I use dex for PC. Without that, I can't justify the price. Looks like it's time to bounce out of the overpriced Samsung eco system

If Samsung doesn't want to maintain the Dex PC client, perhaps this is a good opportunity to opensource it and let the community maintain it, if they find value in it... which I definitely DO!

Why loose such a great feature, Dex is what makes the s series special and worth paying for. It is what makes your ecosystem work and is the perfect mobile when traveling. With Dex on PC gone, I guess Dex is next and then no need for the ecosystem either and then no need for the Samsung s series either, just another expensive phone or camera.
