I have just updated my S24 Ultra and it has installed UI 7.0 and the software update.

Before the update , the time and date  was displayed on the standard home screen, in the style shown below  (this is not from my phone but an example I found online)

Since the update,   I do not have the  date shown to the right of the time in the top left corner of the home screen?       1.  how can I get that back?

2.  More generally, how can I control which apps can add a notification alongside the time at the very top of the home screen?

Thanks

Hi there, I have same problem but it's just the date , time stays on but the date disappears after I close Quickstar, then comes back on when I open Quickstar, it's very handy when your in certain apps and need the date.

Have just updated to UI 8 - Android 16, I have a new S25+ , have been playing around with it not sure I buggered it?? thanks BB

1. Like LongHiker said, use Good Lock to get it back

2. I don't know an exact way to choose what apps can show a notification in the top right, but if you disable the notifications for apps then they won't be able to show there. If I find a way, I'll put it here.

@Anna333 You will find Good Lock in Samsung's Galaxy Store.

It is a Samsung App,  but I could not find it.  Check under Settings -> Apps     if it is listed.  If not you can download from the Google store.

I tried downloading from the Galaxy store and had a problem.

I absolutely hate it, in fact with my eyesight I struggle to read it at a glance, even with my reading glasses on.

There are 2 or 3 other threads on it and I have commented there, and also sent formal feedback to Samsung.

Meanwhile I have used an app called Powerline to add a small power-level indicator at the top of my screen.

But WHY Samsung would think that this new icon for the battery symbol is better, clearer or more user-friendly,  I have no idea.
