Bring Back Direct Call

Years ago, there was an amazing feature with Samsung phones. If you open a contact, or a message, simply put the phone on your ear and that person will be called. Why it was removed??

Not really. It was very convenient. The proximity sensors were awesome in many aspects

Really?  It's too hard to tap the phone icon from a contact or the "call" option from a notification?  Oh, my goodness, thank heaven you don't have to dial a rotary phone.

I am talking about samsung removing features, like how they removed power share with the new galaxy watch. And I did have a rotary phone growing up

They evidently removed that feature ages ago. It was never on any Samsung phone I ever had, or I never knew about the feature because I know how to press an icon and generally use speaker phone anyway.  You, apparently, are the only one who misses it, as I have never seen a single comment here, or anywhere, that it's gone, or even existed in the first place.  So, either a lot of people didn't know about it or didn't use it, which is why it was removed.  I think a whole bunch of people didn't use power share either, so it would have been a waste of resources to continue it. If I am not mistaken, they also changed the charging protocol, so maybe power sharing is not feasible.

Sure. But not knowing about something doesn't mean it didnt exist. And I do know how to swipe the icon to answer a call. It was convinient to just put the phone up to your ear to start a call or answer it. Charging the watch through power share is never a waste of resources. You might find someone with a c charger, but will never find one with a watch charger. These small features are what distinguish Samsung from other brands. Everyone felt upset when they removed the remote capabilities from the s-pen. Yes not many people used it, but for sure was a landmark with samsung

I'm not the one who made the decision to abandon those features.  For the record, I always carry a keychain watch power bank (a vestige from when my watch 4 battery was dying and I needed to charge it twice a day), along with a power bank for my phone. (I travel).  I recently switched the watch's power bank for just a keychain puck that connects via a C cable, but my power bank has the cable attached, so one power bank for both devices.

Again, even you said they abandoned fast call years ago.  I think if it was that popular there would have been an outcry then that may have persuaded Samsung to bring it back (the way they sort of did with the Messages app).

Of course you are not. You were just the one mocking me about it. Anyway. I hope the developers look into those old features

Send feedback. That's the only way the developers are going to "look into" bringing them back. Bringing it back would depend on how much feedback they get on any given feature.
