Galaxy S24You left your phone unlocked in a place that, apparently, was not secure or around people you thought could be trusted. If your privacy is that important, you can
1. Put the messaging app in the secure folder.
2. Download a third-party app that will allow you to lock your app, such as the one @Mujibar suggested. There are a number of apps in the Play store.
3. Keep your phone locked when others are around and it is not on your person. Even locking your sensitive apps will not prevent someone from adding software to keep tabs on you or clone your device if they have hold of your unlocked phone.
My opinion is that it should be on each app's developers to add security to their apps, they way finance and medical apps do.
