Galaxy S24Got a notification icon from AIG which when opened showed the market value of AIG from google finance; first I do not have a finance app installed, nor aig app and have notifications set for very few items. Now I have this notification/icon and can't get rid of it; anyone know how to remove these notifications/icons from the S24plus screen, thx.

Galaxy S24Do you have a carrier locked phone? Your carrier may have added a finance app, or you have the now brief enabled. Can you post a screen shot of the notification the next time it comes up?

Galaxy S24If so, try going to: Settings > Lock screen and AOD > Now bar. Next, turn off "Google Finance."
Best regards,

Galaxy S24The next time you get that notification, instead of opening it, go to the Notification screen, click-hold the AIG notification until you get a settings gear icon. Click on the gear icon > "Notification categories" and see if you can turn off "Allow notifications" there. You should also take note of the name of the app or function this notification belongs to just in case there are other notifications you might actually want in the future.

Galaxy S24Hello, thank you for your feedback. I understand your frustrations about receiving the notification from a finance app that you did not install. When you click on the notification icon does it open an app or website for you? Have you searched in your app settings for AIG or Finance app? You can try your device in safe mode to see if your device received the notification: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS10003495. If you do not receive the notification in safe mode then there is a third party app causing the notification and you would need to delete any recent app or recently updated app. I also recommend that you clear the cache partition on your device: power off your device, hold the power button and volume up button, once the Samsung logo appears release the power button, select clear cache partition, and reboot your device as normal . If you are still receiving the notification then try a factory data reset to resolve the issue: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS10002030. Be sure to back up your device before performing the reset. Please let me know if you need further assistance.
