Update causing Battery drain S23

This update makes my phone drain it's battery every minute every minute, before it used to last 1 or 2 days active use, now it doesn't even last an hour, the ui all of it sucks, Samsung really needs to re think there terrible design, they need to fire all people that created this horrid trashy ui

I'm seeing 'resolved' on some of these. Can someone please point me to the resolution? Please.

At the top of the post is the text "jump to solution".  Or you can just scroll to the grey box.  Many times, the moderators post the help suggestions and links and then mark the  issue resolved.  Sometimes they close the post to comments after that, and sometimes they leave it open for further comments/suggestions, provided it doesn't get out of hand.  

There is no actual solution as of yet, other than that Samsung is aware of the battery issue and working on a fix.  There is no word on when this fix may be ready and applied.  

The only steps one can take at this point to try to mitigate the battery drain is all the usual stuff, such as making sure all the apps you had asleep before are still asleep. Look at your battery statistics and see which apps are at the top of your list for battery usage and put it (them) to sleep; lowering your screen brightness to the lowest comfortable level.

Hello everyone

Idk if you have done the latest software update but my issue now is that my battery is getting drained fast even thought i dont use it much. An example im driving, phone is being charged and after at 100 i unplugged it, i drove about 4hrs without doing anything and when i checked the battery level was like at 70% before the update it was all good. Anyone have idead on this? Thank you

I usually fix phones on the regular for people and I noticed that when you switch the battery of a Samsung phone the battery stops draining but there is an update for that but it's weird that the Samsung phone battery gets drained it just shows you how they keep controlling our devices but if you replace the battery with a different battery not Samsung it will not drain your battery

Any word on a patch to correct the heavy battery drain on the s23 series after one ui7?

I know that Samsung is well aware of the issue.  It is my understanding that they are working on a fix for it.  When it will be available has not been announced.  They could issue a patch in a form of all corrective things to OneUI7 or wait to correct it in the upcoming OneUI8 update.  No one knows.

I have an s23 ultra that jist got the 7.0 update and the location constantly searchs draining my battery on my phone horribly. I've Googled everything went on reddit, Google says I've Googled everything went on reddit, Google says to send an error report here in the members app and the directions given are incorrect and I don't see an area to report this so I don't know how to report this but I am having the same issue and this particular update everything seems pretty good except for the location search, and my experience my location search happens at least a couple of times a minute causing me to have to charge my phone multiple times throughout the day. Has anyone found an update or a fix for this? Does Samsung have any plan to correct this issue?

I just turned off location. I only turn it on if I absolutely need it

Do you know for certain that location pinging is draining your battery? Location service has always been accessed in the background. It's now more noticeable because of the green icon, which is meant to help you know which app/service is accessing location.

Battery drain has been reported on many different models. It is believed that Samsung is working on a fix, but it's unknown when that might be rolled out.
