I've tried to fixed the location issue on several photos in my gallery that suddenly out of the blue have changed locations to China. I have no clue how or why and I'm not too good with electronics as I thought I was. I don't want to lose these photos accendently because their of me and my parents when I was a child and they have since passed. I looked online for help and I still am not grasping it. It's only affecting the end of my gallery photos the newer ones not effected. Any suggestions appreciated.

Hey there! I can certainly understand how frustrating it can be when your device just seems to be having a glitch like that regarding the location of the photos! Let's try some of these troubleshooting steps to try to get it resolved.

Enabling/Disabling Location Tags in the Camera App:
To automatically add location information to your photos, open the Camera app.
Go to Settings.
Look for and turn on the Location tags option.
Ensure that location services are also enabled on your phone's main settings.
You can choose between precise location or approximate location for privacy concerns.
Editing or Removing Location Information from Existing Photos:
Open the photo in the Samsung Gallery app.
Tap the More options icon (usually three vertical dots).
Select Details.
Tap Edit.
To remove the location, tap the red minus sign next to the location information.
To add or change the location, you can choose from recent locations or select a location from a map.
Tap Save.
Checking App Permissions:
Ensure that the Gallery app (or any app you use to view photos) has permission to access your location.
Go to your device's Settings, then Apps, select the Gallery app, tap Permissions, and then Photos and videos, and choose Allow all the time or Allow only while using the app.
Regarding the location being set to China:
This might be due to a bug in the software or a misconfiguration.
If you're still experiencing the issue, try updating your device's software and the Gallery app to the latest version.
Ensure your Samsung account country or region is set correctly. You can do this by logging into your Samsung account on the website. account.samsung.com.
Note: If the location information was automatically added by your camera when you took the photo, you may not be able to remove or edit it.
