SmartThings TV remote not responding

Starting yesterday, following a phone update (Galaxy S23) the remote control for the TV in the app has stopped responding. It opens correctly, sees my TV correctly but I can't click on anything like if the phone touch screen was suddenly disabled. I tried reinstalling the app, readding the TV, etc. to no avail. Doubt it is related to yesterday's server issues on Samsung's end since it's back online now and I still have the issue.

@LudivineDix Did you wipe the device cache partition after the update? I recommend that you do this after every device update. It wipes out incompatible or outdated cache information which might be incompatible after the update. It does not erase any user data nor applications.

To wipe the device cache partition:

1. Power off your device.
2. Power up while holding down the Volume up key and the Side key until the Samsung logo appears. 
3. An Android recovery menu will appear.
4. Use the Volume down key to scroll down to Wipe cache partition.
5. Click the side key to select it.
6. Use the Volume down key to scroll down to Yes. 
7. Click the side key to select it. The Cache will be wiped almost instantaneously. 
8. Click the side key to select "Reboot system now"

I just did. To make sure I even cleared SmartThings cache and data, deleted the app, turned off phone, cleared cache partition and reinstalled the app. I still have the issue.

I tested and I can "click" on two things on the remote. The ... in the to right corner to access the menu (but once open I can't click to close it unless I use the phone's back arrow) and the "customize your remote" banner, but in the customization menu/page I can't "click" or "hold and drag" items. Can't click on the back arrow of the remote either but can go back using the phone's back arrow. On the remote itself, nothing else responds (volume, channel, back button, home, swiping, holding to add items, etc.)

Hello I am having the exact issue. Restarted phone. Repaired TV. Not sure what is going on. The buttons don't even react.

Same exact issue with my Galaxy S10 (Android 12). Latest SmartThings App and Latest Bios on the TV. (QN50Q7FAAFXZA). Was working yesterday Aug 02, but just started freezing up today Aug 03.  Did the standard (force stop/clean cache, force stop/clear data, and finally a full up removal and reinstall)  Need to say the SmartThings app works just fine with no problems, it's the TV remote that is freezing.
  
There is a very quick error that flashed by, something about an error while downloading the driver. I suspect there is something wrong with the plugin used for the remote, or it might just be missing?  The only button that seems to work is power, any other action locks the app hard. The SmartThings PC app works just fine

Adding some more info:

Now when the remote app launches from SmartThings it has the original popup for "Activate TV sensor" Nothing on the screen works, Not "Later" or "Try it", nor swiping.
Back "<" clears the popup, and The customize scrolly bar scrolls.
Clicking that brings up the customization interface, but nothing can be moved. Again, just the lower "<" back works.
Three dots brings up Edit/Remote options/How to use. Again, only < works to exit this.
Netflix, Samsung TV Plus, Prime Video, and Youtube buttons work!
Also found the "click to search" button works. the one with stars.
the "123" button works and toggles between layouts. But no other button on that number screen works except "123" to return.

Finally, if I back out to the Television screen.. It's all wedged up. Only < works to get out.

This really smells like a software issue with the remote plugin. Like a broken library?

Next edit:
Went to SmartThings Labs and added the Bluetooth Keyboard. Then paired with the TV.  That method works just fine, especially for browsing and enables the touch mouse or button mouse. Also works for the keyboard shortcuts I have tried.

I have the exact same issue on my S24 ultra with the addition that i just now found out, that the Samsung Smart Tag i have on my keys, in the smart things app is appearing but selecting it opens up a new screen with a warning of not using it in others for tracking them without them knowing about it, but the one and only button there that says continue is also frozen and doesnt do anything.
