Samsung Vertical App Drawer

When is Samsung getting the vertical app drawer? They've been saying for a year that it was coming to ONE UI 6.1.1. Well, that came and went....And still no vertical app drawer.

Personally, I think it's the most bizarre and despicable thing that Samsung is doing. How dare you talk about making my device mine and your "Galaxy your way" when you won't even budge on the THEE MOST BASIC FEATURE IN ALL OF EXISTENCE... why they won't give us the option to change the drawer to vertical and at least give us the option to turn off all these ridiculous pages so it's free scrolling is just beyond me. It's absurd. It's confounding. It is so incredibly frustrating. And sometime ago came the Good Lock Team giving us this option in Home Up but they botched it so epically because they gave us a Priority Apps block that you couldn't remove. And they've never corrected it and rolled the feature back out. I swear, I just don't get it.

This is the "MAIN" reason I am using Nova Launcher, just to have vertical scrolling in the app drawer.

It is ridiculous that we have to resort to that because it's well known that Google has yet to assist with fixing animations for third-party launchers, plus Samsung's Taskbar may or may not work. It's just a mess.

The vertical app drawer has always been a rumored enhancement coming with UI 7. Let's hope it happens.

They said it was going to be in 6.1, after they took it away from us in 6.0. Should we believe this? 🤷🏼‍:female_sign:

One can hope. It never was a feature of OneUI, just an enhancement available through Good lock, the modules change often. Back in March a project manager for Good lock mentioned it might be in 6.1.1 as 6.1 was already live but that was never confirmed by Samsung (but really, do they ever confirm much? Even if it makes it to a beta 7, that is no assurance it will make it to the live release in early next year.) anyways, if you gotta absolutely have it, the vertical scrolling, try one of many available Home apps, even the worst of which is better than the current UI one Home. The issue is if you have a foldable or tablet and like Dex and or the task bar you're stuck using OneUI Home.

I heard its coming with OneUI 7.
I'm hoping that we'll have the choice to choose vertical vs horizontal.
I like horizontal more, personally 🤷
