Unlocked s23 will not change service to metopcs. Why?

Galaxy S23Ok 1U means the devices isn't factory unlocked its a carrier model that the reseller on Amazon listed as Unlocked which isn't the case Unlocked Models are U1 so your S23 model is SM-S911U a true Factory unlocked would be SM-S911U1. I would suggest returning the device if its still within the return window.

Galaxy S23You could try to contact the carrier that its locked to and ask them if they will carrier unlock it to work on other carriers

Galaxy S23I would suggest taking it to a metro store and see what they say if they cant resolve the issue I would take it to a certified repair center to have it checked.
