S23 camera can't take pictures of barcodes (back of license)

My bank requires that I take front and back pictures of my driver's license. My S23 takes pictures of the front just fine. But it just cannot take pictures of the bar codes on the back. (It can take pictures of QR codes, though.) What can I do?

EDIT: Apparently I wasn't clear. I am using the bank's website to apply for an account. The website controls my cell phone's camera while taking the pictures. I don't know if the issue is with the website or with my cell phone's camera.

@nellienobody So you see the image but are unable to click the capture button?

There is no capture button. The bank's system either displays "Success!" and the captured image or it leaves you sitting there holding your cell phone until your arms wear out.

So, it sounds like an issue with the bank app.

I resolved this issue myself by turning my driver's license sideways so the barcode was at the bottom. The bank's website took the picture immediately. Don't ask me why!!!

@rron reading bar codes is not a built in feature because bar code information is just numbers. They can't hold other information like a QR code does.
