S23 Ultra WiFi connection issue (wrong password)

I have what seems to me a very strange issue going on with my s23 ultra. I will frequently see that the phone isn't connected to the Wi-Fi in my house (a known and saved Network), even though it had been earlier. I will bring up the Wi-Fi and it says that it's not connected because of incorrect password. I connect to the network again and it connects immediately. So the password is obviously correct. I have forgotten the network and reentered the password, but I still regularly have the issue. Anyone have any thoughts on this? It's really annoying.

Also, would it be able to connect some times and not others?

Maybe check the apps you allow to control wifi and or wifi settings, advanced the control history will tell you which app may be disconnecting the wifi.

Thanks userElla. I just checked the history of which apps have turned off, and it is saying none in the last wee or so, and very few times over the last year. But thanks for teaching me more about my phone!

It could be your type of router WPA3 etc., conflicts. I read it you choose under MAC address type under wifi settings, select Phone Mac then it will have a fixed non rotating address that can be identified seamlessly on your network. Also, under wifi advanced see if intelligent wifi is enabled to switch to data and if so, maybe disable that.

What's wrong with WPA3? It's the newest, latest WPA standard in all the WiFi 6+ routers, which this phone supports. I don't see why this would be an issue.

I'm not sure that it is the router as I have had the same one for a couple years now, and this issue with my phone not connecting (or being disconnected) because of Incorrect password has only been in the last few months.

I feel like there may have been updates to the android operating system in that time frame. Has anyone experienced something like this after one of those updates?

Agreed! This issue has been more prevalent since the One UI 8 upgrade.

An update, I cleared all connections, reset my router, and still running into the issue. I've also set the Mac option as suggested above . Anyone else finding a solution to this yet?
