S23 Ultra Camera Screen Goes Black Outdoors in Sunlight

Newish phone, screen is cracked. Still fully functional except when using camera in sunlight, screen goes black and unusable, until restart. Has anyone experienced this?

Go into the display option and turn on adaptive brightness and see if this works. This takes brightness to max while in the sunlight.

This led to a solution! Funny thing is, i found Adaptive Brightness was already on BUT when I toggled to off, a new option appeared - Extra Brightness. Toggled it to on.  Camera now works in sunlight. THANK YOU!
