Since the last update, my S23 over heats at any applications, if I'm using them for more than 5 minutes, could be youtube, reddit, WhatsApp, whatever. And if it is streaming, Disney, Netflix, YouTube, the upper metal frame gets almost too hot for the touch and the battery drains 10 - 15% in less than 40 minutes, to the point where in taking the case off to see if it cools faster.
Install Good Guardians from the Galaxy Store. Then install the Thermal Guardian module from inside the app. It should give you an idea of which apps are causing the overheating.
If you haven't done so, make sure you also clear the device cache in recovery:
1) Turn off your device.
2) Press and hold the Volume Up button and the Side/Power button until you feel a vibration and the Samsung logo appears. Let go of the buttons.
3) You will now be in Android recovery. Use the Volume buttons to highlight "Wipe cache partition."
4) Press the Side/Power button to execute.
5) Use the Volume buttons to highlight "Yes."
6) Press the Side/Power button to execute.
7) "Reboot system now" will already be highlighted. Press the Side/Power button to execute.
That sounds really frustrating. Post-update overheating like that often means something in the firmware or a background process is gone rogue. First things to try: clear the cache partition (via recovery mode), boot in Safe Mode and see if it still overheats (if not, a third-party app could be culprit), and check for any recent app updates that mismatch the new software version. If the problem persists, back up your data and do a factory reset, and report the issue to Samsung support — this kind of behavior after an OTA update needs to be flagged so they can fix it in the next patch. iptv france
