Twice SOS was dispatched to my home while in a garage with no reception or signal as the phone was placed into a pocket..I have tried repeatedly to remove this feature from the locked screen.  My cellphone company was unable to assist me.

Any suggestions to remove this from the locked screen?

Not aware of any. Try increasing touch sensivity.

@Littlered05 Sorry but it is a US law that Emergency calls must be possible when the phone is locked. Someone may not have the time or patience to unlock their phone to dial emergency services. Also, anyone can pick up anyone's phone and dial emergency services if needed.

You can go into the Emergency SOS settings and set it to require swipe before it dials, this way it won't call on its own.   When putting it in your pocket, you must somehow be pressing the button 5 times in rapid succession.  That is the *ONLY* way it would activate.  They made it 5 to minimize accidental activations.  So, either your pants are too tight or your finger is accidentally repetitively hitting the button.

Do you have a case on your phone?  The buttons on the phone are very sensitive to touch. Putting a case on the phone makes the buttons slightly harder to accidentally press even once, let alone 5 times.

Apparently, on a hot and sweaty day, the phone will somehow swipe to call 911 while in the pocket. I've experienced this and it's super frustrating, especially when a cop shows up at work

I don't see how that's possible.  I don't even see how it's possible to accidentally trigger the SOS just by putting the phone in your pocket.  I requires five distinct presses in fairly rapid succession. press..press..press..press..press - swipe.  And there's a countdown.  If no swipe is detected within a certain period of time, the call does not go out.  Either your pants are too tight, you don't have touch sensitivity off and accidental touch protection on, or any combination of these.  If this keeps happening to  you, a) wear looser pants, b) get a phone case that makes the buttons less sensitive to accidental presses and/or covers the screen, c) take the phone out of your pocket and go old school with a holster, and/or D) make sure you have accidental touch protection on and lower the touch sensitivity of the screen.

Millions of women keep their phones in their bags and aren't accidentally triggering the SOS all the time.  As a matter of fact, the only people I've ever seen complaining about this issue is men who keep the phones in their pockets - and only a handful at that.
