Reformat photos to JPEG from HEIC received in text

Text photos from iphone are changed to HEIC format. How do I get these texted photos to be jpeg again? Yes, I've check camera settings and no HEIC is not enabled.

These are not photos I've taken. They are texted photos from iphones. Started happening a couple months ago.

It's probably free with ads .Of course it's going to start by trying to convince you to go premium. I just suppled the link to show there is an existence of such an app. I don't use it. There are likely other apps out there. Not every app in the Play store is free. Are people not entitled to get paid for their labor? If you want something, sometimes you have to pay. It just depends on how important converting the files is to you vs. the cost of converting.

Did you ever find a solution?   I am so twisted because text screenshots from iPhone to my Fold 6 remain in .HEIC format.   Useless to me as they always converted to jpeg before I did the One UI7 update Sunday.  Samsung has no answers either.  Yes, not photos I've taken but texted screenshots of transcripts that are sent from iPhone users.

I think my camera is shooting in heic. Can't post on dating site. So the current preponderance of a valid solution rests not in the one we pay money to,
but a 3rd party app?

The only thing I could think of was to screenshot the texted photos and then edit them.

I will give that a try.  That should work, I hope.   Thank you.   I hate doing updates for this reason.  All was great right before Samsung forced this on me.  There was no way to avoid the install anymore.

That's what's worked for me, but a major pain in the **bleep**. I was hoping for a solution here, but no such luck.
