Galaxy S23Hi All! As title suggests, had screen replaced on my Samsung S23Ultra (authentic Samsung screen, authorized repair place, $$$$) about 5mths ago. Since then, I've had problems with people not being able to hear me properly on a call (sounds like I'm under water etc, sometimes with an echo). I've taken it back to the repair place twice, where the microphone has been cleaned and... re-plugged-in? At the latest visit today, the service person suggested the charging port needs replacing... at an additional cost. I wanted to check - does this make any sense? Would the issue not be with the microphone? Is this anything to do with the phone screen being replaced? Please help! Cheers 🙂

Galaxy S235 months ago? Why didn't you bring it right back to them? Most repairs are only warrantied for a maximum of 90 days. In any case, unless they damaged something while replacing the screen, the two issues are likely unrelated, unless they somehow blocked or damaged the mic while replacing the screen. Run a diagnostic on the mic, to see if it's actually damaged and then return to the repair place to have it evaluated and repaired. You will likely have to pay again, even if it was related because you waited so long.
