No information

Hi I just brought an Asus ROG laptop and I was looking at putting photos on my new laptop.

I plugged my Samsung S23 Ultra into my laptop and it shows up on the list in photos but when I double click on it in the list there is nothing to see, no internal storage or any of the other folders I used to see with my older laptops. Is it a setting somewhere ?

Appreciate any help.

Swipe down on your notification panel and you should see a notification saying USB tap it and change it from charge only to transferring files/android auto or you can do only the transferring images option and media. You will need to copy the photos to your new laptop with the file explorer

If all else fails, you can always open a web browser, navigate to photos.google.com, sign into your Google account and download the photos that are backed up in Google.  if your laptop is on the same wi-fi network as your phone, you can use link to windows and download the photos from your gallery wirelessly.
