Galaxy S23The case is a flip cover case with the front cover holding the card.

Galaxy S23You can keep your card in your regular wallet for that possibility, since most major gas stations use tap to pay now. I would imagine even using an e-wallet, having the card readable in the holder would confuse the NFC scanner. Like I said, I always thought those card cases had NFC protection. If you do want to continue to keep the card there, try my routine to automatically turn NFC on and off when the wallet opens and closes, Google Wallet has you turn it on and then leaves it on unless you turn it off. NFC doesn't need to be on all the time. Samsung Wallet, by contrast, turns NFC on when in use and off when the transaction is complete.
