Help, my phone won't scan QR codes anymore. I've restarted my phone and that did nothing. Any suggestions

What model? What are you using to scan?

A couple of pieces of troubleshooting: open camera app settings and make sure scan QR codes hasn't been toggled off. If this started after a recent security or OS update I recommend performing a partition cache clear which is good for weeding out the software bugs they sometimes bring. Here are the steps:

I'm glad you were able to find and fix the issue with your camera.

In case you need them, here are two other ways to scan QR codes with your phone.

There is a tile on the Quick Panel (see screenshot). I've changed my panel a bit, so I don't remember whether this tile shows by default or needs to be added.

The Samsung Internet browser will also scan QR codes. Tap the three-lines menu in the bottom right corner and then tap the icon labeled "QR Code scanner". (These buttons can be moved around, so yours may not be in the same place as mine.)1707654755011.jpg1707654755014.jpg
