Music player is embarrassingly basic. No feedback is taken under consideration. I don't want to install other apps on my phone unnecessarily.

Isn't the primary function of a music player to play music?

Is that all? There are some apps that have options to modify to individual preference. This app could have some features too.

There are other options to use if you are not liking the music player

If you want an app to do someting the pre-installed app does not do, that makes it a necessary download because it's something you want. Certain basic apps are included with phones as a convenience, you are neither required to use them, nor married to them. If you don't like the Samsung music player, it can be uninstalled and replaced with one that will do what you want.

I've been using JetAudio, because it plays more filetypes than the basic player.
