I have the Samsung Galaxy s23 FE. After the recent update I've been having issues with my lockscreen. I use the swipe then a security code. When my phone goes into lockscreen and I try to swipe to get to the security code input to unlock it, it give me the number pad for my pin code. I can go to camera and to the dialer but that's it. I have to use the drop down menu to restart my phone to get the lockscreen to function properly and unlock my phone.
@dizzyb03 Did you wipe the device cache partition after the update? I recommend that you do this after every device update. It wipes out incompatible or outdated cache information which might be incompatible after the update. It does not erase any user data nor applications.
To wipe the device cache partition:
1. Power off your device. 2. Power up while holding down the Volume up key and the Side key until the Samsung logo appears. 3. An Android recovery menu will appear. 4. Use the Volume down key to scroll down to Wipe cache partition. 5. Click the side key to select it. 6. Use the Volume down key to scroll down to Yes. 7. Click the side key to select it. The Cache will be wiped almost instantaneously. 8. Click the side key to select "Reboot system now"
I did that and lost all my data. Thanks LongHiker! That was worst help than ever. Plus I got the factory reset with the same problem no touch screen only sensitivity for pen.
@Members_M6u1zyU Sorry to hear that you accidentally picked the wrong option on the menu. It sounds like you picked "Wipe data/Factory reset" not "Wipe cache partition".
The golden rule of troubleshooting... always make sure that you have a backup.
