Not able to record in Landscape mode on Facebook Live! Auto Rotate is on. I used to be able to and be able to take still and multiple shots while recording. Can only record in Portrait mode and can no longer take pictures at same time. PLEASE FIX!! IT'S BEEN GOING ON WAY TOO LONG! I tried the Orientation Control app which does allow Landscape recording but my screen view shows recording flipping 360 around and has gotten stuck recoding upside-down. UGH!! I have also written to Facebook app support.

Enable Auto-Rotate:

Make sure your device's auto-rotate feature is enabled. On Android, this is typically found in the quick settings panel. On iPhones, it's under Settings > Display & Brightness > Display Zoom, View > make sure this is set to Standard.

2. Start with Landscape Orientation:

Rotate your device to landscape before initiating the Facebook Live broadcast.

3. Initiate the Broadcast:

Open the Facebook app and start the live video as you normally would.

4. Check for Issues:

If you encounter problems, ensure your device's settings are correctly configured and that Facebook Live is not experiencing any known issues.

Additional Tips:

Consider your background: Landscape mode captures a wider view, so make sure your background is tidy and visually appealing.

Use good lighting: Ensure your scene is well-lit for optimal video quality.

Utilize additional equipment: Consider using a tripod or stabilizer to improve camera stability, especially for longer broadcasts.

Hi, thank you for your reply. All the above have been checked over and it's been an ongoing issue with either Samsung's update a year or so ago and or with Facebook. I do a lot of Facebook Live recordings on a weekly basis and this issue is very frustrating to me.

Didn't find much else to help my only guess is its either a change or update with Facebook or a samsung update that made some camera changes not sure what to suggest

I'm having this exact problem. Samsung S23+

I've continuously reported the problem back to Facebook everytime this happens (been like this since a big update about a year ago), which is pretty much everytime I try to watch a video. Which I don't bother anymore, as YouTube does a way better job, keeping the 16:9 radio as this works best for landskaps mode videos. Facebook har obviously tried to make videos show better for those who makes content in the 9:16 format, but made **bleep** for those who want to view and create videos on the "normal" 16:9 format. Why anyone wants to watch videos in the 9:16 format I don't know, but each to his/her will. Tried all the suggested solutions to this problem, but nothing happens. No feedback from Meta on their platform either when reporting. This is so frustrating, when trying to watch videos in the landscape format.

Having the exact same problem. I try to report this error everytime, but it doesn't help. No feedback or anything of things one report in, no solutions. I tried to get in contact with Meta's app developers, but the email address on their site is actually a no-reply address so that did not help either. I want the option to be able to play videos in the 16:9 format back to working properly.

@GadgetGirl520 You would need to reach out to the Facebook/Meta developers for help.

I agree. It would be FB app issue, not Samsung.

That's not helping. I'm having the exact same issue and keep reporting, nothing happens, no replies back.

I think that they're talking about live streaming on the Facebook app.
