Haven't been able to send videos in months. Cannot send a video longer than 6 seconds, even when using messenger camera. I get a yellow unable to send in the message, and a red exclamation on my conversation list. There is No support from Facebook. Tried reporting the problem on Facebook, even used the record video to show the problem. Did this about 20 times over the last 4 months. ** update - Still cant send videos 9/9/25. going on 9 months. no support from meta. update 11/2/25 - no fix s23.
I have signed into messenger on my son's Galaxy a12 series and had no issues sending videos.
I've tried uninstalling messenger. Reinstalling. Clearing both app and system cache. Reset camera settings. I've read on reddit this was a known issue on s23 and s24. But that was a post from the beginning of this year. Please help.

In the past, if a video was recorded utilizing the camera on messenger, it would have all the settings and reduce the video as needed. I could record a video to the limit and it would send no problem.
I cant be the only one experiencing this. I seen on reddit s23 and s24 users have experienced this. But no update or anything has fixed it.
Ive recently seen the same thing but only on my friends messenger acct when I send messages to him. I found out hes been incarcerated since August. I dunno if thats got anything to do w it or not or a setting that he set or his phones gone or his crazy girlfriend did something to his acct while hes locked up or what but its the only acct that gives me that yellow unable to send message. This is a s25+ that jus came out in August. Did u try uninstalling messenger and reinstalling it after restarting ur pho in between? Im not sure what else to do either. I wish u best of luck on that matter. Frigging technology...its an inconvenient convenience aint it?!😂🙏
