Does the Samsung camera app still require permission to nearby devices? Where it won't let you use the app even without granting it access? I was looking:

https://us.community.samsung.com/t5/Galaxy-S23/Remove-Requirement-of-Nearby-Devices-Permissions-for-...

And seen that this was an issue then. I don't see why a camera app should absolutely need access to nearby devices before even being able to start and make use of the camera.  This kind of permissions should be opt in as the user needs to use these features.  Not blanket approval just to use the app.

I tested disabling the "Nearby devices" permission for the Camera app on my device, and a message appeared that basic features may no longer function as disabled without it enabled, but it does not say the app cannot be used.1755751978507.jpg

You cant use the camera app without nearby devices enabled.   Samsung is a little ridiculous.    Also they restrict third party apps from using the higher megapixel cameras.    So now you have to enable invasive permissions or loose camera functionality.
