Calendar doesn't show previous years?

Does anyone know why my calendar doesn't show previous years?

@Deecjay One way to see previous years is to click the 3 line (hamburger) menu in upper left. Click on Year. Then swipe right. 

Do you mean events from the previous years?

Everything I had scheduled, doctors appointments most important, are gone. And I did try that. All my calendars settings are on. Just a few icons like this one with a doctor jacket. Which I did not put in with my appointments.

If it's a calendar associated with a Google account, it will only display the last year's events. But all that data should still be available on the web interface.
