How did Samsung address this issue aside from using gesture. It's annoying that I can't use the menu button while chatting with someone cause the buttons are on top of the box where I should type the message.

Restart your S23, then go to Settings → Apps → Bixby → Storage → Clear Cache. Make sure Bixby is updated and has all necessary permissions. If it still won’t open, try Force Stop or reinstall updates.
