Galaxy S22Hi,
I've read a few news messages the last few months about the last update destroying S22's all over and have still not found a single mention from samsung about recalling the update or it being fixed.
Since I only got this phone just over 2 years ago I am now scared to update it. Because if it does destroy my phone aswell from what I understand samsung doesn't do anything about it.
Can anyone tell me if the update has been investigated and fixed and if it is safe to update? Not much use having 4 years of updates if I can't do them because they break my phone. Also pretty annoying that the pop-ups keep showing up

Galaxy S22So basically I can't update my 2 year old samsung anymore even tough i was guaranteed 4+ years of updates? Or rather. I can update but if my phone breaks it's just a weird coincidence and my warranty term has passed.
Starting to lose my confidence in samsung lately. I really hope someone from samsung can give me some guarantees.

Galaxy S22People tend to post about their negative experiences. That is human nature, whether they are seeking a fix or just commiseration. I have kept my S22 updated regularly for the past two years and have never had an issue with any update. I am currently on the most recent update available to me, with is the 12/01/24 security patch of OneUI 6.1, and will update again whenever the January patch comes out while awaiting OneUI 7 (presumably in February).

Galaxy S22Thanks for your input. But tbh it's not just a couple people complaining. It's thousands of people apparently who can't use their phone anymore.
Quick question. Do you have a snapdragon or exynos chip? Read somewhere that only exynos seemed affected.

Galaxy S22Snapdragon to my knowledge -- it is a US model S22.
