Why is it so hard for the development department to get that they messed up the equalizer on the December system update. Bands 63 and 125 are grayed out. That only happens if something is removed or forgotten in the system update. I have sent in numerous screenshots of the equalizer and the different modes showing that bands 63 and 125 no long work. Effecting the rich quality of sound that the device can put out.

Maybe one of you can help explain this to development in a way that they can understand...

From what I have read:

The 63Hz and 125Hz equalizer sliders are grayed out on Samsung phones because they're often locked for built-in speakers to prevent distortion and potential speaker damage, especially after One UI updates. To adjust these low frequencies, you usually need to plug in wired headphones, which enables them, or you can try apps like Good Lock's Sound Assistant for more control, as the settings are distinct for different audio outputs (speakers vs. headphones).

How to Fix It (This worked on my phone)

Plug in Wired Headphones: Connect any wired headphones (especially USB-C) to your phone; the 63Hz and 125Hz sliders should become active.

Use Good Lock (Advanced): Install the Good Lock app from the Galaxy Store and use its Sound Assistant module to get deeper equalizer control.

Check Bluetooth: The EQ settings often apply differently to Bluetooth, so testing with your Bluetooth headphones might also work.

Thank you.
I should be able to enjoy the full rich sound I paid for when deciding to get this device. Not getting add-ons

Sound Assistant is a great addition. You really should give it a try.

Good Lock and its modules are not add ons. It is Samsung's official suite of customization apps. It's separate and modular, as not everyone needs or wants the same type of customizations, so why bloat the UI with all of that. Users download only the modules they need. I guess you never download any apps that are not native to the phone.

An add-on is something outside of the app, setting or program to do just like the word says add-on. So that would be an add-on to the equalizer.

So you are saying you do not ever download apps to your phone to do something the phone does not do. If you don't want to use so-called add ons, no one is forcing you to. But, you do also want those sliders to work. You don't need the add on, but you were told they will only become active when connected to a BT device so as not to ruin your phone speakers.

I did not know this. Ima have to try it out. Settings make it look misleading though. A lot of people on reddit have mentioned this and wondered the same thing as the Writer, but this is the first thing I've read to actually show a reason. They should have it look differently since many dont understand that
